AnnouncementsNew information about Troop 20.

  • PARENTS:  Kathleen Epperson is our stalwart advancements coordinator, and she continues to do a stellar job of ensuring that our Scouts' hard work and diligence is recognized timely and efficiently.  We are actively seeking support and assistance for Kathleen.  For those of you who are gifted with fine administration and coordination skills, please consider volunteering to help our Scouts by working with Kathleen.
  • SUMMER CAMP!:  We will be attending Camp Raven Knob in northwestern North Carolina (Old Hickory Council) the week of July 6-12.  Check out the website at www.ravenknob.com for details about this excellent camp.  $195 FINAL PAYMENTS for summer camp are due April 28.  You can pay online at the Troop 20 payment site https://squareup.com/market/bsa-troop-20-3. This is an outstanding camp, and the Troop is excited to return to Raven Knob for a great opportunity to have fun, learn some great skills, and work on merit badges.
  • Be sure to notify your patrol leader of anything you wish to bring to the attention of the Patrol Leaders Council (your youth scout leadership).

What New Scout Campout
Troop 20 will be heading to BP’s Cooper River site for a weekend
FULL of Scout activities such as camping, cooking, and outdoor
skills training. This trip is especially important for our Scouts
who have just bridged over as we will cover most of the advancement requirements for the Tenderfoot rank, as well as many of the Second and First Class rank requirements. Older Scouts will have an opportunity to hone their skills and teach others what they have learned about “Be(ing) Prepared.”
