AnnouncementsNew information about Troop 20.

  • PARENTS:  Kathleen Epperson is our stalwart advancements coordinator, and she continues to do a stellar job of ensuring that our Scouts' hard work and diligence is recognized timely and efficiently.  We are actively seeking support and assistance for Kathleen.  For those of you who are gifted with fine administration and coordination skills, please consider volunteering to help our Scouts by working with Kathleen.
  • SUMMER CAMP!:  We will be attending Camp Raven Knob in northwestern North Carolina (Old Hickory Council) the week of July 6-12.  Check out the website at www.ravenknob.com for details about this excellent camp.  $100 DEPOSITS for summer camp are due March 10.  You can pay at the online Troop 20 payment site https://squareup.com/market/bsa-troop-20-3.  Alternatively, you may make a check out to "Troop 20" with "summer camp deposit" in the memo line in the amount of $100 to reserve your spot.  This is an outstanding camp, and the Troop is excited to return to Raven Knob for a great opportunity to have fun, learn some great skills, and work on merit badges.
  • MEDICAL FORMS: It is time for all Scouts and Adults to update their medical forms. BSA has updated the form for 2014. The new form is available at this link on the Troop 20 website:  BSA med form  Parts A and B of the form are required for everyone that participates in a Troop 20 camp-out.  Part C (which requires a Doctor exam) is required for all scouts/adults that attend summer camp or any other scouting event that exceeds 72 hours in duration.
  • Be sure to notify your patrol leader of anything you wish to bring to the attention of the Patrol Leaders Council (your youth scout leadership).
